I finally shot the pool parties at McCarren Park, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past Sunday. The parties are sponsored by Jelly NYC
Well, I heard The Breeders didn’t do so well in Coachella, but that wasn’t the case Sunday. I didn’t get to stay for the whole set, but from what I got to check out, they were pretty damn good.
The gracious Deal sisters came out eager and ready to please with big smiles, great melodies, and spot on harmonies ready for the hot, sweaty, and burnt crowd.
Matt + Kim opened up for them. They were awfully perky. I guess that’s a good thing. A colleague pointed out to me that it was refreshing to see that positive attitude. Yeah, yeah, okay. Well…they were fun to shoot…great faces!
The Whip opened the show up with some pretty fun dance-worthy beats. And yes…it didn’t hurt that they were from Manchester. Go Anglophilia!
