James Coviello-Bringing the Gilded Age to the 21st Century


Parsons educated designer James Coviello began his career designing jewelry and hats.  Department stores from Bloomingdales, to Neiman Marcus, to Bergdorf Goodman have carried the Connecticut-native’s pieces.  Coviello has also accessorized shows for top designers like Oscar de la Renta, Todd Oldham, and Calvin Klein, to name a few.  Eventually Coviello transitioned from accessories, to knitwear, and finally to full ready to wear.  From feminine and bohemian, to clashed and quirky, Coviello’s pieces are absolutely lovely and wearable.

Processed Meat Fashion Blog had the opportunity to chat with the Coviello as we visited his Lower East Side Boutique at 70 Orchard Street.  Here’s a look:
