Some photos and a video of my cross country road trip. Canada country that is! We first flew into Seattle to pick up our car, then headed over to the very first Starbucks (I know, I know…) in the Pike Place Market.
We then drove up to British Columbia, where the border patrol was questioning us too much. Apparently, he thought we were drug mules, because we didn’t have lodging or a plan. We were just going to find lodging along the way, wherever there was a vacancy sign. Hey remember that? Before hotels.com was invented?
We took the Trans Canada Highway and drove through BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and then to New York.
One of my favorite places was the French Quarters, Old St. Boniface in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Le Garage Cafe is a great cafe/venue. Try their pulled pork mac ‘n’ cheese and have your mind blown.
Picked up some amazing chocolates at Chocolatier Constance Popp, which is right next to Le Garage Cafe.
And checked out the beauty of Saint Boniface Cathedral. A photographer’s dream for light and shadow practice.
I think I need another trip to Seattle and Winnipeg, but until then, enjoy the photos of BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario!
Happy little squirrel in Winnipeg. Even the animals are friendly in Winnipeg!
