These abandoned boots have a grand story to tell you. They’ve walked miles, most likely on this path. Worn and weathered but still useful, they cling to hope. Though it’s previous owner has discarded them on the sidewalk as garbage (or perhaps charity) it will reincarnate for a new owner. Here’s my latest celebrity portrait of Halle Berry. I’m really enjoying oils. I was hesitant at first but realize now the water mixables are a good compromise. I really didn’t want to do this portrait because the reference image was a bit soft. I’m glad I did though. I loved working on the lips with the gloss. I also enjoyed painting the hair, mainly the curls. I was a bit hesitant with the bangs as I didn’t want to mess up and have to fix the eyebrows. It wasn’t that bad.
