My latest pieces are cloud-themed. I enjoyed making the clouds, but I think I want to continue with portraits.
The first painting is 11×14 of a French flag hanging from a building in Arles, France. The original photo was shot in 2016. I finally got around to painting the scene. I chose purple as the dominant hue for the sky and clouds because blue and red (from the flag) equal purple. I hope that makes sense.
The second painting is 16×20 of pink clouds with purple tones. I wanted to make it look like a blanket of clouds. An abstract cloud cover. There’s almost a heart shape in the center, but it’s not.
