It’s been a while since I’ve been to a show and photographed it. Well, I finally made it out last night to my old favorite venue, Mercury Lounge, to watch Scottish band APB.
It felt weird not cradling my security blanket/camera. Where am I supposed to put my hands? Oh yeah, I’ve got pockets. But it was also quite freeing. For once, I was just there to enjoy the music and not shoot it. Well…I did bring my phone. How could I not take a few photos?
So here are a few of my favorite shots taken with the iPhone 7. (YAAAY! It’s not a Windows phone!) Obviously the shutter lag is a bit of an issue and I’m still trying to figure out low lighting situations and image quality selections. I’m sure the newer phones have way better image quality but this was just for fun and it was nice to put my trusty old plugs back into my ears. The train trek home however was a reminder of why I stopped going to shows. Why am I too cheap to Uber?!
