Some shots below from Friday night’s Seaport Music Festival. It was a great day, the weather was nice, and the dark clouds hovering above were dry.
Headlining the evening was Avi Buffalo from Long Beach, California. With their progressive rock and intricate guitar solos, it was nice to see a bunch of gracious and humble kids up on stage. They’re set to do a few more shows in the state, then it’s off to Europe for some festivals including Carling’s Leeds and Reading fest. Take me with you! I need a trip to England…

Opening the event was Calgary’s Chad VanGaalen from Canada, the city 😉
Starting off with slower tempo pieces, then progressing on to some more upbeat college radio style tunes, these Canadians blew the headliners away, as well as the crowd.
Please don’t blow your brains off in front of a crowd, that just, well…blows. Just blow into that harmonica.
According to VanGaalen, all that was needed to make this trip worthwhile was a little trinket he found and purchased. I think he called it a juji (???), I’m pretty sure that spelling is incorrect. Oh those Canadians!
