A gallery of some images from tonight’s show at the Rock Shop in Brooklyn with The Dig opening up for Brother from the UK. Both bands put on a great set.
What I especially love about Brother’s performance was the connections and interactions between frontman Leonard Newell and his bandmates Josh Ward and Samuel Jackson. NO…NOT that Samuel Jackson, silly! The band really looked like they were enjoying their performance.
With melodies reminiscent of 90s Britpop and some of my favorite bands including Blur, Menswear, and obviously…Oasis, Brother made me nostalgic for my college years. I am excited to see them again…next month. Hope they play Pianos or Mercury Lounge again. I missed Wednesday’s Mercury Lounge show, but then again, it was raining. Can you really blame me? =)
