Picked up a Canon Powershot Elph 300HS today and went a bit crazy on the miniature (tilt shift) effect.  Unlike the 1400IS, the 300HS allows for the miniature effect to also be used in video mode.  I did not however know it would actually speed up the motion.  So I guess a 10 second clip would only last about 5 seconds.  It’s kinda cool as you’ll see by the video. People move about like busy bees in an urban frenzy.

When shooting stills, it blurs the edges and sharpens the center, but you can change the location of focus as well.  Below are some pics from today using the miniature effect on stills and on video.
