I’ve been meaning to get this up a few weeks ago, but it got a bit too busy with Fashion Week. Anyways, here’s a short video of Black Onassis at the Mercury Lounge. The video is clips (audio and video) cut, copied, pasted, looped, etc…
They were quite fun to listen and dance to but it would’ve been nice if there was some sort of interaction between the band and the audience (or even between the band members themselves). They’re extremely visual so the projections went along well with the music, but when those solo guitar parts came up, it would’ve been nice if Chris Karloff stepped out from behind the keyboards so we could actually see him.
That’s not to say I wouldn’t see them again if they played the Mercury Lounge. But if they plan to play Bowery or Webster Hall, I’d have to think about it.
