‘Opulence and drama’ is the inspiration for Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2013 collection. And if there was any drama I experienced from today’s Theatre show, it was probably from my cursing and OMGing every time a model came out.
From vibrant, colorful, flowing fabrics to uber sophisticated silk blouse and crepe pant pairings and everything in between, this was a show of pure ecstasy, hence the cursing. Eveningwear was amazing. As the model’s walked the catwalk, the fabrics from the gowns flowed like intense, yet graceful waves, heightened by the vivid hues of the fabric. I literally could just stare at the movements all day, but that would be unproductive. The pant suits were so exciting, yet wearable. Who would’ve ever thought an animal print tuxedo jacket and matching pants could be so wearable, yet chic?
Some shows make you ‘meh’, some make you ‘hmm…’, while other make you ‘ooh and ahh’. This show made me…OOOOOOOHHHH!
