Shanghai Glamour: New Women 1910s-40s
Also opening up on April 26th is the Shanghai Glamour exhibition. Known as the ‘Paris of the East’, Shanghai’s identity was deeply associated with it’s women and its fashion. Curated by scholar Mei Mei Rado, the exhibition will display 12 outfits from the 1910s to 1940s on loan from the China National Silk Museum in Hangzhou and three dresses from prominent private New York collections.
