If you’re in need of some music tonight, there are a couple of great British acts performing.
First up, check out Black Onassis at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. Chris Karloff (ex-Kasabian) and crew will be putting the pedal to the metal with some fast paced tuneage set against a background projection. So yeah, this is not a show to take photos at, unless you’d like to ruin it with your flash. Just dance already.
The band will go on at 9:30. This will be a fun show…if you dance.

If you don’t want to go to Brooklyn for Black Onassis, but prefer Manhattan go see Brighton duo, Blood Red Shoes. They’ll be opening up for The Joy Formidable at Webster Hall tonight and this is another must see show. The show is unfortunately Sold Out, but there may be tickets at the door. Hey! Never hurts to try…
Laura Mary-Carter won’t be bantering as much, since she’ll be on guitar duty, churning out some heavy rock. Think 90s American punk, fast and loud, but also very tight.
Young, good-looking and talented. Ugh..You know you’ll want to see them.
So there you have it, your Thursday night plans are hopefully set!
