!!! (Chk Chk Chk) and Classixx performed on a dangerously hot Thursday at the House of Vans in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The steamy warehouse provided a patio as the only source of ventilation for the young, thumping bodies that twisted and danced to the night’s west coast themed electronic, dance music. But from the looks of things, not a single soul had a care in the world.
Donning a pair of pop art inspired shorts, singer Nic Offer performed for the crowd with his signature dance move of arms rigidly moving outwards like an old lady reliving her prime. Offer worked the stage and crowd, revving them up for a night full of easy beats, perfect for a heatwave.
The last time I saw !!!, it rained, and the show was outdoors. The crowd soaked up the precip and relished in that freedom. It was yet another hot day, and an extremely sticky one as well.
Opening up for the !!! was a bevy of remixes by Classixx from Los Angeles…how can I NOT love them…homies!
Anyways, the House of Vans’ shows are free with RSVP, so get on it early, because they do sell out quickly.
Here’s a short video from the night, and below that is the photo gallery. And don’t forget to check out the street fashion from the night as well, here.
