South African native David Tlale is best known for creating elaborate pieces but also produces very wearable and sexy feminine fashion. Tlale presented his Spring 2014 collection on Thursday during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and the detailing on some of these pieces were intense. Funky, edgy – I don’t know how else to describe Tlale’s work, but fantastic is another way to describe it as well.
The attention to detail is what makes his clothes so fun like the shoulders here:
And the sleeves here below. These sleeves actually remind me of that Maison Martin Margiela piece from the Punk Chaos to Couture exhibit at the MET.
And I love the shape the embellishment creates on this lbd.
Tlale is definitely meant for the woman (or man) who likes to dress up and have fun.
