CMJ Day 2 – British Showcases, 16 October 2013, NYC

Day 2 of CMJ was filled with music from the British Isles.  First off to Pianos to see Eagulls from Leeds, UK.  The band has some great tunes and made even better by guitarist Mark Goldsworthy’s work.  Most of the time I just listened to his parts, which were brilliant.

After Eagulls, it was off to The Box for the Music is GREAT Britain showcase co-hosted by the British Consulate General and Ben Sherman.  Performing that night were Prides, Duologue, and Morning Parade.  I really liked Prides alot, and Duologue got better as the night progressed.  Morning Parade was also pretty fun and whatever that song was AFTER ‘Headlights’ was pretty awesome.

My must see, if you have a chance to catch them this week…Eagulls.
