Graphic Versions of a Woman and Man – 16×20 Acrylic on Canvas

Here’s my latest piece of a profile portrait of a woman and man. I wanted the images to be simple and graphic with bold colors in red and yellow. The images are very simple.

I originally wanted to do a triptych with the third color being blue, but I couldn’t decide what to create for the blue.
I think it works well as a diptych though. Sometimes, you just have to keep it simple.

These pieces are available for purchase. To inquire, contact me at: info@tearntan.com

Enjoy!

For the painting of the woman, the curves of her hair and her hat symbolize the concept of womanhood.

For the man, I wanted the facial hair to be what defined him, so I gave him mutton chops or very long sideburns. I could’ve used blue, but I’m not sure blue hair and facial hair would’ve worked.
