Recently completed digital portraits of Janelle Monáe and David Johansen of the New York Dolls. Both created on the iPad Pro with Procreate.
I think this was the first time I actually enjoyed drawing teeth. I usually avoid it, because it feels like such a task, but it was fun working on Monáe’s teeth. I was also having issues on the left side of the face. I decided to do a second version where I just darkened that area, making the image much more dramatic. I’m not sure which version I like more.
