The Black Lips played today at the Pool Parties in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The band opened up for the Trail of Dead, who had to cancel because of an imminent storm. I’m not sure if they actually canceled it, or delayed it. Security was kicking people out.
Can’t walk on water, but can walk on fans.
As the Black Lips took the stage, the Photogs seemed more interested in shooting the fans than the performance.
Then the fans got crazy and pushed in part of the barricade. Damn kids went freakin’ mental! Either that or I’m just a wet blanket.
Opening up was drum heavy Health from my hometown, Los Angeles…WEST SI-EEEED!

If it were socially acceptable to do the things kids do like bury one’s feet under rocks and dirt, I would do it. I’m easily amused, so I think I would enjoy burying my feet as well.
