The Roaring Twenties I Hope to Trend

NO DOWNLOADING OR REPOSTING OF THESE PICS PLEASE!

Most people know my obsession with Paris’s Lost Generation, Fitzgerald, and Hemingway, so imagine how delighted I was when I saw this display today as I returned for day 2 of the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea, New York.  To promote the upcoming HBO series Boardwalk Empire, mannequins were draped in 20s garb from glamorous to sophisticated to classic.  I would get cable just for this show.

I guess my long chained necklaces will be getting a little big longer.

Accesssories!

So my hope is for a 20s renaissance inspired by Paris;  That includes Edith Piaf, the accordion, outdoor cafes overcrowded with tables and seats, Artists and Writers engrossed in meaningless conversation, and glamorous clothes, sans skinny jeans and flats.
