Elie Tahari and Shamask Spring 2012 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Lincoln Center, NYC, 14 Sep 2011

An amazing and abundant supply of vibrant colors and delicate fabrics graced the runways of the Studio and the Stage Wednesday at Lincoln center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  The Spring 2012 lines for Elie Tahari and Shamask were full of textural pieces that truly embodied femininity, sensuality, spirituality, and  elegance.

The backstage scene was full of exuberant energy with family members including two adorable kids Zoe and Jeremy Tahari embracing and enjoying a tender moment with their designer father Elie Tahari.  As models dressed and posed for photographers, frenzy and electricity emanated throughout.  Once the show started, the audience was treated to some gorgeous and sophisticated pieces full of vibrant colors, soft, flowing fabrics, and wonderful detailing.

Just before Tahari’s show, over at the Studio, Amsterdam-born Ronaldus Shamask showcased his whimsical yet meaningful designs.  With varying inspiration ranging from politics to modern art, Shamask’s pieces of light, and also flowing, fabrics had an ethereal and pop-art feel;  While other pieces, created from sumptuous materials, softly silhouetted slender frames creating a dramatic and classy feel.

A big thanks to Ms. Gisele Feldman from fashion blog http://snacksdeestilo.com/.

Below are some runway shots of Elie Tahari’s show today.  And below the photos are the runway videos of Tahari and Shamask.  Enjoy!
