Charlotte Ronson’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection was showcased via a mini runway show where the models walked the catwalk over and over throughout the hour. Ronson’s Box presentation was fun and playful. Sister Samantha Ronson provided the tunes, as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas along with other classics played above, keeping the atmosphere informal and relaxed, making this actually an easier presentation to maneuver. Once you were done with all of the models, you could step back and let somebody else watch the show.
The looks showcased were mod, retro, with accent colors, green floral (for Autumn!), and plenty of cut outs and texture blocking. Red accents splashed here and there. I loved it’s use on the lapel of the tuxedo jacket, which was a nice touch to this fun jacket trend. Also loving the pants with the side stripes, not too band uniform/tuxedo pants-like, since the stripe seems a bit thicker, but definitely loving the look. Some baggy, but not too over-sized sweaters, for those lazy days completed the collection.
Ronson always has the best backpacks too. I’ve been trying to find the stripe backpack/tote she used for her Summer/Spring 2013 collection online, those are a definite must!
As you could see, the greens in this collection wasn’t just your dark forest green, but light and varied in hue, which brightened up what is usually a dark and muted season for colors.
I love the use of colors, and the intensity of each shade. No longer is winter a dark and dreary season and where brown and orange aren’t the only colors seen in an Autumn stroll.
