A visual pun created with a portrait of Roy Orbison. ROYGBIV. I was thinking of putting his name above his head with each letters being different colors, but thought it worked best keeping it simple.
I’m happy with the outcome.
I also did a digital version with the letters GBIV in sign language. I’m practicing hands right now so I thought it would be a fun idea. I decided to do just a digital version of that one, instead of painting the hands. So I took my hand drawings and Photoshopped them into the painting…though the drawings could’ve been photographed better so they’re all evenly toned. That’s the bottom image.
